Ice machine not making ice?
Not harvesting
Ice freezes on the plate but never drops, or the machine stops mid-cycle. We check the harvest controls, sensors, hot gas valve and water level.
Small, cloudy or soft ice
Usually water quality, scale or a water distribution problem. Cleaning and descaling often fixes it; we check the rest if it does not.
Water leaking
Water on the floor around the machine or bin: drain lines, the water pump, the float, the inlet valve or overflow.
Bin not filling or overflowing
The bin control tells the machine when to stop. If it fails, the machine shuts off too early or does not stop.
Error light or shuts off
Safety shutdowns from high head pressure, long freeze or harvest cycles, or water faults. We read the code and find the cause.

Scale and slime stop more ice machines than anything else
Minerals from the water build up on the evaporator and the machine makes less ice, harvests slowly and works harder. Slime and mold grow in the water system and the bin. Manufacturers call for regular cleaning and sanitizing; how often depends on your water and how hard the machine works. We clean, descale and sanitize the machine and set a schedule for your location.

Why is my ice machine making less ice than before?
